No offense, but a taco truck kind of stands out around here.

[Ray shakes his head.] None taken.

[A beat as he thinks...] You think I need to do something physically to it or can you work some mojo and turn it into something else? Maybe something that helps it blend in wherever it ends up.

[A working chameleon circuit, basically, but the mun's trying not to Fourth Wall canons we have actual characters from.]

[he wouldn't be against disguising it, whatever that entails. he really doesn't like the idea of Lilith being a sitting duck. he has no mojo (yet), however, and so, since he can't offer anything on that front, he just glances between Waverly, Ray and back again, silent]

[is that something they can do?]

[Her mind whirls over the friends she's made here so far, and she has sparse few options. She can't really do it herself, and she does think of one option.

And dismisses it just as quickly. As much as she's sure that the twins would be willing to help, they're kids. She can't drag them into this.

Then, a lightbulb goes off.]

I might know someone. I'm seventy-five percent sure they're trustworthy?

[Zatanna is at least a step up on John Constantine.]

[Ray makes a face.]

Yeah, sadly that ain't high enough for me on this one. 'Less we're a thousand percent sure they're not gonna rat us out to Barbas or to someone who'd rat us out to Barbas, we don't tell anyone.

[Aiden tilts his head in Ray's direction -- what he said]

Guess we do this the hard way.

[they'll figure it out. it won't be the first time he's done something like this]

[She nods in agreement because fair enough. Right now, she doesn't have enough ammunition to push the issue, but eventually that will change.]

We might still have some paint left at the bar from when we were setting up.

Prob'ly still some out at the garage, too. I commandeered some of Rogue's tools to put my baby back together again. And all those pretty houses and picket fences, there's gotta be some somewhere.

[He's sure they can find whatever they need.]

[Aiden nods]

Shouldn't be too hard to figure something out.

[and hey, maybe Barbas won't expect something so low-tech, for lack of better wording. low-magic? whatever]

I'll let you guys know what I find. And I'll bring by extra food when I have it.

[Who knows how often that will be but Hella Shorty's will be getting a kitchen soon so that will make things a little easier.]

But for now, are you sure you guys are okay?

[No being big strong men just to make the woman here not worry even while she's trying to fake it till she makes it herself?]

[Ray pauses a moment and then huffs out a breath.]

I say I'm fine he's gonna call me out on it. I've been better, been worse. Sooner we can get rid of this dickhead, the better we'll all sleep. [A beat.] Literally, considering the fucking nightmares.

[He looks to her.] Anything we can do to help you?

[Aiden gestures to Ray. he's -- not fine, but he's been worse]

[(that's a complete and total lie, considering he's the one having the nightmares, but he will be a big, strong man, thank you. it's what he does.)]

Same question.

[is she okay? can they help?]

[She shakes her head because she's fine. She's totally fine.]

I'm good. Just keep me in the loop. And get some rest.

[She probably won't be able to get any for a while, someone might as well take advantage of it.]

[Yeah, Ray knows how that goes. He also offers her a look that says just that - but he also doesn't push it, just nodding.]

Same goes for you, lady.

[again he tips his head in Ray's direction. what he said]

[She nods with a small smile.]

I will do my best.

[Which, in the end, is all you really can do. And with that, she'll head out and leave them to rest up. /scene]
