[It's good to see her, even as he notes that she's not quite as bright as usual. Not that he blames her. It has been a very tough month, he's certainly a lot more panicked and worried than usual, though he does make an effort to smile at her.]
How are you... I mean I haven't seen you in a little while so I just wanted to come and check, to see you I mean.
[Ray pauses a moment and then huffs out a breath.]
I say I'm fine he's gonna call me out on it. I've been better, been worse. Sooner we can get rid of this dickhead, the better we'll all sleep. [A beat.] Literally, considering the fucking nightmares.
[He looks to her.] Anything we can do to help you?
Yes. [He's not okay either, but he's trying to be. He's better than he was a couple of days ago.]
They all survived and are recovering... None of them hate me. [Though it feels like they should. He knows hurting them wasn't his fault, but it still feels bad.]
I guess, even if we were controlled like that. It was still me. I still hurt them and they were infected too, but all of them were trying to protect me. [Even wild and angry they hadn't hurt him, even though all of them could snap him with one hand if they wanted. Probably.]
[Aiden never swung at her, despite the fact that he was very much looking to swing. She was lucky in that respect, that she had friends looking out for her.]
Sometimes ... with some of the things that happen here, it's easy to be overwhelmed.
Yes... [Especially when he already got overwhelmed so easily. He's not surprised that he wasn't able to fight off what was happening, but he is disappointed in himself, frustrated.]
But um... I actually... Some other things happened too... But we probably need to be more private.
[He's certain he trusts Waverly, he is pretty sure he can trust her friends. But this is a bar and a public place, who knows who might be listening.]
[He blinks at her a moment, despite being the one who suggested they go somewhere else in the first place. But then his brain catches up and he begins to walk, following her towards the research room, looking around as they entered.]
[She's quiet again, considering as she tries to figure out how to put this into words.]
This isn't the first time I've seen a vampire hopped up on angel blood. This isn't the first time I've seen Doc hopped up on angel blood. He sired you and you trusted him. A certain amount of responsibility does fall on him. He knew that you weren't going to be able to say no.
Doc wasn't any more in his right mind than I was. I'm not saying that to try to get you to forgive him or forget about what happened, but I've seen the way he talks about you. He loves you as much as family. I'm just sorry this had to happen.
I can't imagine what you went through that night, or who else tried to hurt you. I hope you get some time now to actually take care of yourself though. Recover.

I am sorry if this is an inopportune time, but if you have a little time tonight, I would be glad of your presence. Even if Zichen does not remember it, you helped us both before.
[ There is a time and place. This isn't something that they planned very much, but here they are. ]
